readmore: What were your expectations going into this tournament? Rumour is that you haven’t even been practising with the team lately.
daps: „Expectations were nothing. We didn’t prepare. Obivisously we felt like we could do well, maybe make playoffs. But getting Top4 the way we did was probably higher expectations then we expected.“
readmore: Now that you have shown yet again that you can beat the best with this lineup, do you feel like you deserve a second chance or are you just happy your time with NRG has a happy ending?
daps: „I mean the deals are already done, there is no second chance.“
readmore: The decision to get Stanislaw on team, was it just purely based on individual performance or did you want to get a new leadership and new strategies for the playbook?
daps: „From what they told me it is mainly about individual performance, but I am sure there are things they wanted to change outside of that. But to my knowledge it is based on individual performance.“
readmore: With G2 being your next matchup, do you think it will be a challenge to beat them again in front of their home audience?
daps: „I think it will be a close match regardless. I do not think it will be an easy match, but we can definitely beat them.“
readmore: Since you had a day off today and didn’t prepare before the tournament, did you prepare anything special today for the playoffs?
daps: „No. We are not preparing at all for this event.“
readmore: Do you already have plans for the time after this event? Are there any offers already in your mailbox?
daps: „I already have offers from some teams, but I obviously can’t say anything.“
readmore: There has been a lot of criticism towards the seeding and tournament format that is run by ESL and DreamHack in last few days. What is your opinion on that matter?
daps: „I think the seeding could be tinkered with a little bit, but I think the format of the tournament is fine. I think teams that want to make playoffs should just win the matches they need to win to make playoffs. Instead of making a system where everyone gets make the stage you should just be able to make stage when you are good enough to make the stage. Obviously, the Best-of-One is not ideal, maybe you could do Bo3-only with the same system, but outside of that: Yes you may have to win three Best-of-Threes to make playoff, but if you deserve to be in playoffs you should probably beat the teams you are going to play against.“
