Though it’s going to be a tough journey towards the pinnacle of the global competition that’s paved with many obstacles we have to overcome, I am sure that we will be able to live up to the expectations placed on us. We will have to work hard to achieve this goal, but I’m very confident in the abilities our new team and given some time, we will become one of the world’s top teams in CS:GO.
I also have to wholeheartedly thank Caseking for putting their trust and money in us as the first team to fight under their banner. Luckily the guys working for the company are all young professionals and avid video game players themselves, so that we’re always on the same page when it comes to gaming and communication. With such a competent organising team to back us, we can really look forward to the year 2015 without worries, in order to present our first respectable successes in the upcoming months. We’re truly happy to work with Caseking and are tremendously grateful for our sponsors and all the support!
+ Michael ‚Michai‘ Schorr, Manager des LoL-Teams
I’ve been working for several gaming organizations in the past, so I know how important communication is. I have to say that the way Caseking understands and lives gaming really does stem from the many ex pro gamers that work for the company, thus making it very easy for me to communicate with them. I think it was probably the biggest deciding factor for me, that the Caseking guys actually know my game, the scene and that I don’t have to explain what „CS per minute“ means. In fact, some of the staff actually spectated our scrims showing real dedication!
Over the course of eight weeks, I held tryouts and in the end I settled for VcomFan, Trowen, Sebeks, Kitty and Wendelb0. They all share similar characteristics: They are young, very talented with a strong will to succeed, they want to be taught new stuff and they are relatively unknown. I’ve discovered many talents back then, who now play in the LCS. This is where I feel at home: Working with a young, new breed of players, who share the same dream of making it into the LCS! Our goals are very simple: To qualify for the Coke Challenger split and afterwards to qualify for LCS. Stay tuned!
Words travel fast within the eSports community. We’ve been approached by numerous teams, who asked, if they could use our boot camp to prepare themselves for upcoming events such as IEM Katowice. We are very open to those requests! We want to ensure that teams attend big events in the best possible condition. With the help of our partners NVIDIA, MSI and AOC, we managed to extend the boot camp area; We can now provide 20 work stations for pro gamers. All they have to bring is their gaming gear. Everything else is provided by us and our partners.
Caseking invested a high 5-digit number in this setup alone. That does not factor in the time it took our guys to prepare everything. The monthly costs with rent, a 150mbit optical fiber line, electricity and such is very close to 5-digits as well! Again, these are just the plain costs. If we add the hours from our staff to keep everything running, to produce the content etc., the costs become much bigger. Although we are gamers at heart and most of us play either League of Legends or Counter-Strike:GO, at the end of the day, projects like this have to make sense for our company from an economical point of view. We believe that we have created something very unique and this boot camp will further increase our brand awareness which is really hard to measure.
